Who is Lena Maye?

Lena Maye is the maternal grandmother of the founder and Director of Lena Maye Ltd Coretta Scott.

Coretta decided to name the company after her grandmother as she passed on her knowledge of using beneficial natural ingredients for the hair and skin care and also because if the love she has for her.

How long has Lena Maye been in the hair care products industry?

Lena Maye was founded in 2016 when the first product formulas formally began to be created. Lena Maye was eventually launched in August 2019.

Is Lena Maye environmentally friendly?

We believe in reducing, re-using and recycling.

We are conscious about not wasting materials when packing items and where possible we re-use materials.

Our packaging materials are used efficiently and effectively to avoid waste, whilst still providing enough protection for orders. The bottles and jars we use are recyclable and we try to gain packaging and materials that are eco friendly and ethically sourced.

Can I purchase a Lena Maye gift card?

Currently we do not produce Lena Maye gift cards however, as the business grows this may be something that we can offer in the future.

LENA MAYE PRODUCTS

Can I buy your products in a shop?

At present purchases of our products can only be made online however, as our business grows our products may start appearing in some shops as well as hairdressers/barber shops.

Are your products vegetarian?

Our products are made with plant based ingredients and do not contain animal ingredients or any animal parts. Some of our product formulas may contain ingredients produced by animals such as; honey, eggs or hydrolysed silk.

What types of hair are your products suitable for?

Our products are formulated to work with kinky, curly, wavy natural hair types, or anyone else who enjoys using them.

Our products are suitable for men, women and children over 36 months.

Are your products all natural?

Our products contain natural ingredients within the formulas, along with other necessary gentle and beneficial ingredients such as; surfactants, emulsifiers, thickeners, fatty alcohols and preservatives.

What ingredients do you use in your products?

The ingredients used within each product formula, is clearly shown our product labels and also on our website on the description page for each product.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are manufactured in the United Kingdom and distributed from the United Kingdom.

Are your products Gluten Free?

Our products are gluten free.

Where a formula contains hydrolysed wheat protein, our ingredients suppliers have confirmed that it is considered gluten free being less than 20 parts per million (<20ppm). Hydrolysed wheat protein is made up of from the germ, therefore no/little gluten is extracted.

How long will it take to see results with my hair?

Many factors can affect the results from using a product. The condition of your hair, your hair type and your hair regime.

Consistency is key, so with a good hair care regime, suitable products and protective styling, this can all assist with gaining tangible results.

ORDERS AND SHIPPING

How can I track my order?

We use Royal Mail as our shipping carrier, either 1st class or 2nd class signed for options. This service is not tracked through the system, however it offers proof of delivery for the sender and also will require a signature from the receiver.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we do not ship internationally. We deliver to all UK mainland, UK surrounding island addresses and Northern Ireland.  We do not deliver to P.O Box addresses. We do not offer click and collect.

When will my order arrive?

We aim to dispatch confirmed orders within 2 – 3 business working days this does not include the weekend or bank holidays. Any product you buy from us, will be despatched to you in the manner you have selected at the checkout page.

Can I change my order?

We begin processing orders as soon as they are made, so it is not always possible to change an order. You would need to cancel the order using our cancellation and returns form or by emailing  returns@lenamaye.co.uk and then make a new order.

Can I cancel my order?

You may cancel your order before we despatch it and in that event, we will refund you the amount you have paid us through the payment method you used when buying the product.

If the order has been dispatched, once you receive it and you decide that you do not want the product, our cancellations and returns policy will apply and you must tell is within 14 days of receiving it and cancel the contract using out cancellation and returns form or emailing us at returns@lenamaye.co.uk After that period has expired, you have no right to cancel.

Refunds will be issued only upon receipt of the returned product in unused, original condition, in the original packaging and with all original labels and original tags attached and with any seals present unbroken intact. You will need to use Royal Mail to return the order as this is the only carrier our P.O Box will accept.

How do I return my order?

If you decide that you do not want the product, our cancellations and returns policy will apply and you must tell is within 14 days of receiving it and cancel the contract using out cancellation and returns form or emailing returns@lenamaye.co.uk. After that period has expired, you have no right to cancel.

You will need to ensure that the return is suitably packed to avoid damage.

You will need to use Royal Mail to return the order as this is the only carrier our P.O Box will accept. We suggest that you obtain a Certificate of Posting or other proof that you have sent the order to us, as you may need this to claim on any insurance policy you take up. We recommend that you insure the order to its full value whilst it is in transit to us.

Refunds will be issued only upon receipt of the returned product in unused, original condition, in the original packaging and with all original labels and original tags attached and with any seals present unbroken intact.

If you are not buying as a consumer we will not accept returns.

Do you offer free delivery?

Free delivery is applied when your order is £75 or over. We will choose the delivery method used.

Do you offer free returns?

We do not offer a free returns service. If you would like to return an order to us you will need to cover the costs of returning the item to us. Please use Royal Mail to return the Product/Products to us, as this is the only carrier our P.O Box will accept.

We recommend that you use signed for delivery for added protection. We suggest that you obtain a Certificate of Posting or other proof that you have sent the Product to us, as you may need this to claim on any insurance policy you take up.

There is a problem with my order or the product received?

If you receive a Product which is of unsatisfactory quality, or is not fit for its purpose, or does not match the description of the Product that you ordered from us, or has faults when it is delivered to you, or has been damaged in transit, you must tell us, by emailing us at info@lenamaye.co.uk or writing to us at Lena Maye Ltd, PO Box 73378, London, W3 3GE as soon as possible and within 30 days of delivery to arrange for its return.  

We may ask for photographic evidence of any issue, and the Product must not be returned until you have heard from us. We will pay the reasonable return shipment costs.

Please use a secure return method to return the order, keeping your proof of purchase and ensure that the products are safely packed to avoid damage. You will need to use Royal Mail to return the order as this is the only carrier our P.O Box will accept.

I have returned my product, when will I received a refund?

Refunds will be issued only upon receipt of the returned product in unused, original condition, in the original packaging and with all original labels and original tags attached and with any seals present unbroken intact.

Refunds are usually processed within 14 days of receiving the returned order.

Can I place an order over the phone?

At present we are not able to take orders over the phone only online via our website.  However, as our business grows we may be able to offer a phone order service in the future.

I have not received my order confirmation email

Please email us at info@lenamaye.co.uk with your details and order details if you have not received an email confirming your order and will look into this for you.

My order never arrived.

Please email us at info@lenamaye.co.uk with your details and details of your order if you have not received it and we can look into this with our shipping carrier as soon as possible.

My order arrived incorrect or damaged.

We currently use Royal Mail for 1st and 2nd Class signed for.

Please also note that our P.O Box can only accept Royal Mail for returns.

Can my order be delivered next day?

At present we are not able to offer next day delivery, however our business grows we may be able to offer this in the future.

Currently, we offer 1st class signed for which aims to deliver the next working day, including Saturdays and 2nd class signed for, 2–3 working day delivery including Saturdays.

Do you offer exchanges?

At present we are not able to offer exchanges, however you can request a refund, which we will make through the payment method you used when buying the product.

Our cancellations and returns policy will apply and you must tell is within 14 days of receiving it and cancel the contract using our cancellation and returns form or emailing us at returns@lenamaye.co.uk After that period has expired, you have no right to cancel.

You would then need to place another order to purchase the required product.

Do you accept bulk orders?

I am having problems logging into my account?

How do I enter a discount or promotional code?

At the checkout stage you would need to enter a valid discount or promotional code in the relevant box.

Do you have a loyalty points system?

Currently we do not operate a loyalty point system however, as the business grows this may be something that we can offer in the future.

Is it safe to use my debit/credit card on this website?

We use a third party to process debit/credit card payments via our website. The chosen third party provide services that enable online businesses to safely conduct online payment transactions.

Do you keep records of card details?

We do not hold or keep records of customer’s card details. All payments are automatically and securely processed via a third party payment merchant.

How are my details stored from your online website?

When registering online you will be asked to enter your details. You can also save your delivery details to save time when ordering in the future. We store details provided on our secure database and do not disclose any information to third parties.
